This page will not be visible on your website. It is here for your reference only.
PLEASE READ THIS PAGE IN THE CMS, WHERE ALL OF THE "HIDDEN" SHORT CODE WILL BE VISIBLE.
This is an example on how to create a link to an external site:
1. First "highlight" the words that you want to link. Click on the "link" function when it appears. Add the external website URL. Be sure to click "opens new window". This will make sure your site still remains open for the client.
Your link will appear similar to this example below. Only "Visit PD/GO Digital" will be visible on your page. The "plus sign" after the URL indicates that the website will open in a new window.
2. The second step is to add the following short code that will make your link ADA compliant:
[add further description as necessary. This link opens new window.]
Your text must be within these square brackets [ ].
So our example would be set up like this:
You can now view this page and hover your mouse over this link and you will see the alt text appear.
PDF Example:
Linking a pdf file is very similar. It must be opened in a new window and have the words "opens new window" in the short code.
1. Link your file in the CMS, making sure you click the :"opens new window" box.
2. Then add your short code after the link.
You can now view this page and hover your mouse over this link and you will see the alt text appear.
